What does VA by Design do?
VA by Design supports small business owners with flexible virtual assistance and social media management as well as payroll processing options. Basically, handling most of the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep your business running smoothly and visible online.
Who are your services best suited for?
Our services are ideal for service-based businesses, solo business owners, and busy professionals who are wearing too many hats and want reliable support without hiring full-time staff.
What types of support plans do you offer?
We offer three support tiers, Starter, Growth, and Professional as well as our add-on or stand-alone Payroll Service, all designed to meet businesses at different stages. Each plan includes a defined level of social media and administrative support and can scale as your needs grow.
How do I know which plan is right for me?
If you need help staying consistent online, the Starter plan is a great place to begin. If you want active management and engagement, Growth is a strong fit. Businesses looking for hands-on support, strategy, and daily involvement typically choose the Professional plan. We’re happy to help guide you if you’re unsure.
How does billing and payments work?
Invoices are sent directly through Square and are billed in advance for each billing period. Payments are made securely online using a credit or debit card. To ensure uninterrupted service, recurring services are billed automatically using the payment method on file.
Do you require a minimum commitment?
Yes. We require an initial three-month minimum commitment. Social media and ongoing support services take time to build consistency, implement strategy, and see meaningful progress. A three-month timeframe allows us to properly support your business and deliver value beyond a short-term setup. Clients may choose to pay monthly or pay in full for the three-month term for added flexibility. After your three-month term has ended you can renew that same term or switch to a per month basis. The choice is yours!
What do I need to use QuickBooks payroll services?
To use payroll services, clients must have an active QuickBooks Online account along with a QuickBooks Online Payroll subscription (most small businesses use Payroll Core). Payroll is processed directly within the client’s QuickBooks account based on approved information provided by the business. VA by Design handles the administrative processing of payroll but does not provide QuickBooks subscriptions or payroll tax advisory services.

When do services begin?
Services begin after the agreement is signed and payment for the initial billing period is received. If services start mid-month, a prorated invoice may apply.
Do you guarantee social media growth, followers, or sales?
No. While we do our best to use proven strategies to support growth and consistency, results such as follower count, engagement, or sales cannot be guaranteed, as they depend on many factors outside of our control.
What social media platforms do you support?
At the moment. we primarily support platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Additional platforms may be supported depending on the selected plan and scope of services.
How do we communicate?
Communication takes place through agreed-upon channels such as email for tracking or recall purposes. Responses are provided during normal business hours. Emergency or after-hours support is not included unless agreed to in writing.
Are your services remote only?
Yes. All services are provided remotely, allowing us to support businesses anywhere in the United States.
What happens if I need to cancel?
If the agreement is terminated, services will continue through the end of the current paid billing period, and no refunds will be issued for that period. Either party must provide written notice to end services within 14 days of the paid billing cycle.
How do I get started?

We’ll then provide the required onboarding information along with a copy of our support agreement for signature.
